The artist Toni Nohe, born in La Paz, Bolivia, studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg as a master student and was a scholarship holder at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, Poland. She has shown her art in international exhibitions and is represented in various private and public collections in Europe, the USA and South America.
Inspired by the textiles and fabrics of her South American homeland, her abstract lines bring the rich color symbolism of the Aymara and Quechua cultures to life. Over generations, mothers teach their daughters about weaving and the cultural lore woven into the woven threads, telling stories of tradition, spirituality and connection to nature.

For Toni Nohe, painting is a meditation to create an atmosphere of visual happiness and joy. Her credo "Exploring Colors for happy places" illustrates her pursuit of intuition and breaking conventional rules. Her works invite the viewer to discover a world in which colors in their diverse combinations immediately create a positive mood.
Toni Nohe's paintings are a successful symbiosis between a micro view of ancient textiles and high-quality modern paintings that tell stories in a gentle way.
